Tie Bar Covers For Injection Moulding Machines
Tie Bar Covers are what they sound like, simply
covers that fit over the tie bars of a plastic injection moulding
machine. They are used for several purposes by lots of different
industries.
For example medical moulding or moulders of very fragile parts
that need to be protected from impact blemishes while hot and ejected
from the mould. They fit over the tie bar and fasten with plastic
zippers. They are attached at each end with magnets to the mould
frame.
Another use is in label insert moulding. Sometimes the label is
ejected and falls onto the tie bar. As the tie bar closes the label
is sucked into the tie bar slide and ruins the seals.

Tie Bar Covers:
Tie Bar Covers are made of soft vinyl and
fit over the tie bars to prevent damage to components through
impact against the tie bars or contamination from tie bar
grease.
They are also very useful if in mould labelling is being
carried out as they prevent the damage caused by labels being
drawn into the bushings of the machine.
They come in sets of 4 (one for each tie bar) with sizes
of 3" to 10" diameter in 1" steps complete
with mounting hardware. Please state length required when
ordering. Length is the maximum platen size when the mould
is open. They have plastic zippers to hold them closed and
they attach at each end with magnets.
